Through the 1990's and through this decade too, I continue to collect autographs from musicians. My appreciation is sincere when they oblige a favour by signing their name on my CD for me. More than likely their music has had a profound influence on my own musicianship and appreciation. If it weren't for music, I'm not so certain I might have found anything in life nearly as enjoyable to replace it.

In recent years, collecting musician autographs has become more difficult; attributed largely to the growing sense of commodity that eBay and similar selling forums has nurtured. Despite the challenges, my unique collection now nears 500 examples but there remains a number of empty spaces in it held for additional distinguished contributors of musical influence. I welcome their contribution with honest personal gratitude.
The destiny of my collection is one of sustained intent; an eventual donation to a public exhibit such as the Smithsonian Rock and Soul Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. Certainly, none are for sale.
